Pastel colors are always perfect for springtime. They’re also trendy for 2013. L’oreal Colour Riche Nail Polish In Butterfly Kisses seems like the perfect marriage between rosy pink and light lilac shades.
I believe it is universally flattering and should complement many different skin tones. It is somewhat reminiscent of Victoria’s Secret “Perfect,” a similar lilac rose nail polish from the company’s new collection (available for $10 in select Victoria’s Secret stores).
I found this nail polish easy to use, it dries promptly (but not so quickly that you have to rush during application). Two layers seemed a bit sheer, but three coats worked out just fine. I applied them on top of a base coat and finished it up with a top coat.
This chic nail polish was exposed to an extreme test, during the filming of a weapon demo for BBC/Discovery Channel. While wearing L’oreal Colour Riche Nail Polish In Butterfly Kisses, I was repeatedly firing an MP-5 submachine gun, loading, unloading and clearing the weapon, as well as chambering rounds. I’m happy to report that tender Butterfly Kisses passed this intense field test with flying colors! It didn’t chip, peel or get as much as a scratch. You can see some pictures here.
Have you tried this nail polish? If so, please tell me whether you loved it as well!
